AFBL Planning Expansion

Hey everyone!

I'm the commish for the American Federation Baseball League and we're about to kick off our 3rd season (2015 in the game). We are have operated with 16 franchises for our first two seasons and I'm targeting to expand for the 2017 (maybe 2016) season. I am looking for 4-8 quality prospective owners that will begin observing the league from the outside but being apart of league wide discussions and voting to keep up interest.

Here is a quick summary of how the league is set up...
League settings
a) No financials.
b) No designated hitter.
c) Fictional players.
d) Franchises represent US states, not cities.
i) Minor league teams:
(1) From within major-league home state
(2) From within neighboring state with no home team.
(3) Rookie league franchises will be located within the state of Florida.
e) Leagues and divisions are based on geographical proximity.
f) Schedule: 162 games, balanced, no interleague

We sim 10-game calendar days Mon, Wed, Fri morning at 6am CT and have a great core of owners that are active on the forum (our homepage). If this interests you at all, please contact me via email and we can get you involved and preparing to join in the coming weeks.

I joined up at the conclusion of the first season and am having a blast being a part of the league's early-history. Definitely worth checking out. Especially if you're basically an online noob, like me!

Yep, a nice easy league without financials, so no calculators needed to keep track of your team.

But also a very good group of owners who are active.

Just play your best stars, set up trade deals and watch your team win it all!

I have 1 solid on the wait list. Just a bump to keep this on people's minds. I plan to expand by 4 teams to bring us to 20 franchises for the 2017 or 2018 season (currently in 2015).

Another bump. I believe I have 2 potential expansion franchise owners lined up for our planned expansion in the 2017 or 2018 season. We're currently in Sept 2015 but I want to give the league plenty of time to prepare.

This league is a fun exciting league with good owners who even when like me in my first league in 5 years aren't doing so well we can have fun battles with good teams and just be interested in the improvement for next year. We also use Statslab so interesting facts are not hard to come by in this league.

Core group of owners is still around with the new members very involved in this league if you want a good experience come on and join up.

Still need one more owner it's a fun league, with our winter meetings going on right now to discuss league rules and things that we would like to change or keep the same, you can join right in.

Thank you sir! I was just coming here to say that.

3 confirmed for future expansion with 1 spot still available. We're in the playoffs of the 2015 season and expansion will go in effect for the 2017 or 2018 season (still deciding as league). We're grabbing expansion owners early to build interest from the future owners and for the current owners to have enough time as a league to expand the correct way.

Thanks for checking us out if you do and I hope to hear from at least 1 more soon. Whenever we do get our 4th confirmed, please still consider the AFBL to join the wait list for a vacancy or even further down the road expansion (likely not til 2022 at the earliest).

Hey guys,

The AFBL is just about to expand and I have lost contact with one of the expansion owners.

I need someone to fill the spot as soon as possible! We were set to begin the Expansion Draft on Friday but we will wait until we have a solid 4th commitment.

The franchise was set to be based in Nevada. You would be welcome to keep that franchise and all its stuff the same or choose your own state to call home.
