Can't Buy PP -- Freezes When Trying to Contact App Store

Trying to buy PP, but it freezes as it's trying to connect to the Apple App Store. Closing out and retrying yields same results. Please advise.

I have a lovely bug on the steam MacOS client where I have to position the mouse pointer above and to the left of the button to click on it. This may be the same thing. The button will flash slightly when the mouse is on target.

I resolved the issue by updating my MacOS.
