I’m very disappointed. I start looking forward to opening day about 3 days after the World Series ends.

No College World Series, either! I’ve really started to enjoy following D1 more closely over the last few years, tracking prospects into the draft and up the minor league ranks. Total bummer.

Yes. It sucks. But it's the right decision right now. That stupid virus will have a broad effect in the next months, and the best we all can do now is to slow its spread.

OOTP will be more valuable to people like me than it has ever been before. Usually it supplements the real baseball world for me. Now it's the only baseball world.

I heard, seeing that Arizona and Florida area where Spring Training games have been played, has not been affected, they may do some initial games there, but I guess that got canned to because 'safe then sorry'. Good call, but I had hope.

Back to what i intended to post before I read that asinine post above.

So MLB is changing directions already, the original plan was to allow teams to keep players at spring training sites and continue to work out as they wanted. Now, while they have given 3 suggestions, Going to their own homes, their Home cities or staying at ST sites.. But the league prefers players go to their homes if they live in the US.

This is entirely my own speculation, but we will soon find out, I am thinking this overnight change is the result of at least one MLB player testing positive. But, We'll see in the days to come

As great as that would be, we only have to wait three more days if you preordered the game. If you didn't, you have less than a week to wait. At least we have OOTP to look forward to.

Let's say that again: There is NO coronavirus in digital baseball.

People who don't order OOTP21 will miss baseball a bit more than those of us who have the game.

But yeah, who am I kidding? A delayed, suspended or canceled season still sucks.
