Unbelievable work Nielsoncp, the speed at which you churn these out is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing these with the community.

Are you familiar with a set of custom ballparks by an old user Teflon Skies? It would be amazing to see these fictional ballparks in 3D. If you are interested in trying a few of them, I can provide the original images (they are scattered about the OOTP forums as well).

Thanks again for all of your time and hard work.

Retractable roof - although it looks a lot like a dome from the field view.

Geneva, IL - Northwestern Medicine Field

This field was requested by The Game. It's a relatively accurate representation of the Kane County Cougars' home field, including the fun outfield patios. The field is based off of the park factors calculator eriqjaffe built. It could be flipped into a generic low-a stadium pretty easily if you edit the included templates in gimp.

Thanks for your kind words playball! If you send me a private message I'll take a look. I've mostly been doing stadiums based on real life fields, but I can see whether it fits what I can do.

Little Rock, AR - Dickey Stephens Park

This one was requested by jbaumgardt1. The real stadium is a neat combo of a classic park with elements of an old school train station, so I tried to keep the brick effects in the background. The skyline turned out pretty well too, so I think it looks pretty good.

The park plays relatively hitter friendly, including short walls in the outfield, so lots of home runs here.

Even though it didn't end up in the google doc I put together Blue Sox Stadium for you Game. Because Google Maps doesn't have a good 3d image for the area you're floating in space a bit, but I hope this fits your needs (and the needs of our other Australian friends.)

The park is pretty pitcher friendly, with a very low number of home runs.

Sault Ste Marie, ON - Strathclair Park

Again, expansion in my Canadian league led to a few more stadiums for our friends to the North. This one is set in Sault Ste Marie. I actually branded it for a specific team (the Soo Greyhounds), but most of the elements can be changed using the templates in the folders.

The park is pretty pitcher friendly and death to home run hitters.

Welland, ON - Youngs Sportsplex

Youngs Sportsplex is technically a little bit further south in the city, but I liked the name so I adopted it for the park. The actual stadium is pretty symmetrical. Welland is also known as the city where "rails and water meet" hence the big train in left field and the big ship in right.

The park is relatively pitcher friendly.

Sudbury, ON - Beaton Memorial Field

Unlike most of the other stadiums in this thread, this is a completely fictional stadium. I put it next to the curling club in the midst of a beautiful forest overlooking Ramsey Lake, and tried to bring in some of the natural elements, especially in center field.

The park is relatively pitcher friendly, but for a park as far north as it is, it actually has a decent home run effect.

Lethbridge, AB - Spitz Stadium

I have three Alberta related stadiums to share, starting with Lethbridge. I wasn't aware of the city's existence until it showed up in low's excellent fictional logos thread. It is a center of resource mining, so I put a mining cart in right field in honor of that history, and used a color scheme similar to low's.

The park plays relatively hitter friendly, with a pretty unique field.

Medicine Hat, AB - Athletic Field

Next up we have Athletic Park. The actual field (located in Medicine Hat) is on a river walk, so I tried to keep some of that feel behind the left field wall. I also put some of the ads on the wall in center field - if you all have any thoughts on ad location, let me know.

The park is relatively hitter friendly, with a pretty symmetrical outfield. The field itself is pretty small, so it's relatively hitter friendly.

Red Deer, AB - Great Chief Park

Lastly we have Great Chief Park in Red Deer, AB. The park has an interesting set of angles in the outfield, with two different half circles meeting in the middle. I took a sketch-up model of the welcome to Red Deer sign and put it in right, along with a couple of party patios in the outfield.

The park is relatively hitter friendly.

Quick programming note - since I did the Sudbury stadium I think I've figured out a better way do do the backgrounds. I'm going to go back through and change out all of the backgrounds on the stadiums I've already made, so this thread may be a little quiet for the next few weeks. I'm also going to change some camera angles, etc. I'll update the first page of the topic when I complete stadiums, so feel free to watch there for updates.

as for camera angles can you come from a higher point of view from behind the dish? some of you stadiums dont work well in 2D cuz of lack of room to space out the players.

Thanks for the feedback! Is there a specific stadium (or couple of stadiums) that's particularly egregious in this regard? It would be helpful to have examples so I know what not to do.

st patrick...

it seems the angle depth in skewed...less of an angle from the dish? hard to explain in words. more flat than raised from behind? make sense...and BY NO MEANS is this a criticism! your work is great!!!!

Got it. And to clarify - is it the 2d pictures or the actual 3d field shot that's creating the issues?

Thanks for the feedback jparker- I really do appreciate it.

hmmm...i dont use 3d at all so from my view point its the 2d pictures..when you position the photo/name plate around the field is where the issue rears its head
