Fictional Logos and Badges

My preferred way to play FHM and other management games is to bring historical players into a completely fictional world. While it can be amusing to see a Detroit Red Wings legend play for the Chicago Blackhawks or other heated rival, it also feels a bit... weird.

With that in mind, I've been teaching myself graphic design and Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Fresco over the past few years and like to create my own teams. Since I've been inspired by the OOTP/FHM communities over the years, I feel it is important to give back. I've started creating sets so there are assets for kits and rinks should you want them.

You can find a lot more linked in my GoogleDrive below. Most don't have designated sports, but some have hockey, baseball, or soccer/football wording so just have a look before you download one.

Maybe you will find some of these useful for your games.

Dripping with 1960s vibes including a color scheme right off a Jiff Peanut Butter jar from the era.

I can't figure out if I love the atom running around the E and the wordmark or its an absolute mess... I made a second wordmark just in case I decided it was a mess later on.

I've got a couple of expansion teams in my league for the upcoming season...

NYC Eagles

Eagle being one of the official symbols of New York and sort of inspired by the city flag. Couple of different looks if you don't dig the flag concept.

Minneapolis Blizzard

When you want to call a team the Timberwolves, but you can't call a team the Timberwolves...

I'm not sure if the "M" with snowflakes is the worst or best thing ever, so there's an alternate.

The word mark is my favorite and looks fantastic on a dark blue sweater.

I was really unsatisfied with my original Cleveland Lakers set so I went back to rebrand them.

I've never really done a lot with cartoon style logos, but I leaned into this after everything else felt too generic. At certain points this started looking a little too much 1990s Mighty Ducks but that just speaks to the power of that brand I think. If you think of ducks playing hockey, you think of Anaheim.
