Catcher fatigue newb question

Hello gentlemen,

So, I've been using the 7 day lineups. I'd like to thank those of you who suggested that. The thing I've just noticed is, I wanted to have my number one catcher start a big series against a tough team. There was an off day before the three game set, and just before game time, I noticed he was still exhausted so I gave him another day off.

I love when your backup catcher hits a grand slam, so that worked out well, but after two days off, my number one guy is still exhausted.

How many days off is usual for a catcher to regain strength?

Usual? One, if he hasn’t been catching through 0% exhaustion already. This does not sound like a usual case, so I’d guess he has played way too much recently. He didn’t play at all in the game after the off day, right? Did his fatigue percentage go up, at least?

He has played one game in the last five and is still 0% so I must have unknowingly run him into the ground.

Just to be clear, I'm as surprised as you are, but without knowing all the details I don't want to suggest this is a bug in the game. For the future, player fatigue is cranked up higher in PT than the OOTP default setting, which means everybody needs more days off than usual but it's worst for catchers. I would never want to give a catcher in PT more than 3 straight starts, and I normally set things up to make it 2 (i.e., sit every 3rd game).

Yes, I think it must have been a case of very sore knees on his part. He did eventually recover to 100% and I'm watching the fatigue level more closely now. The interesting thing is, he remained 0% exhausted until the day he was 100%. There was no gradual recovery.

Anyway, thanks for the posts!
