all time great teams league

Hello,
I'm new to OOTP and considering the '20 edition. I'm a long-time strat-o-matic player and mostly enjoy in-game sim managing (as opposed to the general manager and owner stuff). I especially like the strat-o-matic HOF editions where you can create fictional teams of mixed all time greats from different eras and simulate a fictional league

1. Does OOTP '20 let you create fictional leagues with teams composed of all time great players from different eras (e.g., Tom Seaver on the same team as Derek Jeter against a team with Koufax and Ty Cobb)

2. Does OOTP '20 let you create a league of all time great teams, like a league that has the 19 Sox, 86 Mets, 27 Yankees, 63 Dodgers etc. and then simulate a "what it" season by playing them against each other?

3. How difficult is it to set this up? Can you let the AI run the general manager stuff and just focus on in-game managing?

Thanks!

1. Yes. Fairly easily. For the majority of players you take the Baseball ref player ID (there are other methods too but it's what i use) amd you create a text file of them. see attached.
check out my Top 44 players league

2. Yes fairly easily. You can go thru the Historical set up wizard and add teams.https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...16#post4569316

3. Yes. You can set it up so you are not fired if you want by using Commish mode. i stay in Commish mode for most of my leagues so you might be able to use can not be fored if not in Commish mode as well.

that's awesome! so you can add historical teams to a fictional league and choose to manage one of those teams while the AI runs the rest?

Yes. You can either do it thru Historical Wizard or Fictional Wizard. My league is Fictional and i set the modifiers for 1990 so HR are not too out of whack but financials for 2018. Only thing is you will not have historical Owners and most coaches. i forgot if the MGR comes with or not.
Theres jerseys for all teams somewhere on the forums. Teams import based on the year so the naming messes with the jerseys that come with the game. I have logos and jerseys for every league and almost every modder on here going back to 2011 so if ya ever need anything just PM me. Txranger makes a ton of great jerseys as does Low for fictional.

there is a quickstart that comes with the game that automatically sets up all time teams i believe. you can use that as a base always and adjust who you want where
