My Solo League Concept
32 teams.
2 sub leagues. 4 divisions in each league 4 teams per division A total of 32 teams No inter-league. No DH. 180 game schedule. Totally balanced. All star game is an exhibition. 4 playoff rounds (Just like NBA) Currently in the middle of simming 100 years of history before getting started with a team. Would like your thoughts.

How does the playoff system work? Do all teams get in? Do you have an anti-tank system in place?

Just like NBA. OOTP is smart enough to give division winners 1-4 and the best 5-8 from any division. Although NBA doesn't have as many divisions... you get the idea. It's four rounds like the NBA all best of 7.

That's a really long season especially with the playoffs. I'm curious what month does your league start and when is it finished following the playoffs.
I'm also curious if you'll see a jump in injuries if you're playing more games in colder months.

Just a comment...simming 100 years seems like it would become tedious without playing the game in a gm or manager capacity. I suppose without all the stops since you aren't associated with any team, it wouldn't take as long as it takes me to get through a year.

I start the season closest Sunday to March 15 and playoffs end around November 10. It's a long season yes. And injuries seem to not have spiked to an alarming rate.
Interesting to note, I have stopped the sim occasionally and I noticed that home runs are alarming. My record holder has 2599 for his career. I started the league in 1900, using historical averages each year. By 1975 players were putting up 150 a season but in 1900 they were putting up 7. Was an interesting experiment. I mostly wanted to see what 100 years of simmed baseball in OOTP would look like. It is indeed interesting.
