adding a new nation and cities

Can anyone direct me to a good explanation of how to add cities to a new nation I create.

I haven't done this since OOTP 11 where I simply had to add the city information to the cities file. Is there a straight forward way to do this now?

No offense to albatross but do it in game and dont bother with the XML file.

Heres how to add Nations & cities in game.
1. Click on Explore World, located on your name/GM menu
2.Select a nation, any nation.
3. Click Nation Editor
4. Add New Nation
5. Enter in the info you want.
6. Then add states and cities.
this only affects this game and not other other saved leagues whereas editing the XML affects all saved leagues. I find it eiaser to do it in game vs the XML.
1st example is a nation i added with 14. 2nd is from 11 and the txts. i have modified some of it in 14.

Thanks for the advice about using the Nations editor.
I'm wondering how I would go about creating a game that starts in my new country in that situation.
The game makes me start up a fictional league before I can get to the edit nation section.
I could then create a set of leagues in my new country that run in tandem with the US league but i was interested in running one solely in my new country.

start with a small fictional league, edit your nations in and then start a new fictional league with your nations/cities then delete the 1st league. Might want to manually delete all players/FA and coaches so they dont flood the new league. Back up often.

Another option. Do you still have your license for 11? Download and install the demos for 11, 12, 13. Edit the txts on 11 and convert. This is what i still do at times.
