Games lost on CPU crash

Was it me or was it the game?
Had my computer crash in the middle of a game last night.
Power cord got tangled in my foot and I unplugged it.
One of the first things I do, almost every time, when I set up a season is to make sure a save is made after each game.
Maybe I forgot this time.
But when I rebooted, the previous four games I had played were all gone.
Could it revert during a patch installation?
Probably not, or is it something I should look out for?

anything in RAM was lost when the power went out - for any reason. so, it would revert back to last save/auto-save point. a sudden loss of power would not cause a problem with the last completed save/auto-save operation, either. you most likely forgot or you have a failing drive and somehow didn't have corrupted data when you loaded the game back up without fail -- very unlikely.

no, a patch doesn't touch your save .lg directories. so, no worries about that being the cause.

if the hdd is old or acting up, go get an app like crystaldiskinfo.exe. it will access what's called the SMART fearture of your hdd or ssd. it will let you know if you have a failing drive or a soon to be failing drive.

if less thant 30-40k hours on hdd or less than 10 years on ssd with extremely heavy use, i wouldn't think this is likely.

OK, I must have not turned on after-every-game auto save.
My fault. Just looking for someone else to blame other than myself for doing something stupid.
Not a big deal.
We all do it. At least most of us do.

you only lost a few games, that's awesome.

i've done somethig similar and it reverted back to january. i've also lost all my initial offeason work before too -- arb, FA, budgts, mil promotions etc. always fun to do the same tedious stuff twice. i usualyl keep it on 1/year, but often click save at various points. i try my best to click it after any amount of effort expended on a specific task.

That was the good thing, only losing three games.
What I am afraid of, in those games I had gone 2-1, is not losing 1-2 or maybe all three but suffering some kind of major injury to a key player or season changing event occur.
I've seen it happen.

you don't have to reply, all rhetorical, and i can't help you troubleshoot a mac:

is this newest version? there have been posts about previous patches that didn't work well with mac os, or a certain mac os.

if you find said posts... try rolling-back to a patch version that works better until they work it out. this isn't somethign they'll ignore if it's on their end and not related to drivers or something local like that.
