Ted Simmons has all our, heh heh, "bases" covered. (bases are a prominent piece of equipment in the sport of baseball, which the computer game Out of the Park Baseball 15 will simulate) |

Pretty sure it was OOTP 12...and it was release June 18th or 20th. We should consider ourselves lucky. |

Was that the version Markus wanted to get owner interaction into, to expand the budget for a star player, and it never happened?

I don't remember to be honest. I just really haven't seen a bad version of OOTP since their ill-fated venture with SSI

12 was the one that came out in late June because Markus had to spend more time than anticipated working with Sebastian to get iOOTP off the ground. That was my first year working with these guys. 13 and 14 were both out around the first week of April.

I'd still like that eventually. I was really really stoked about it.
Realism for Fred Wilpon would be, "Bah, humbug! Lower payroll another $10 million!"

That's right. No super star. No old guy. Just a regular dude. Oh, and it's gonna be Tampa. |

Joyce, like OOTP, does not have much hype outside of the community that enjoys his work. Tampa, like OOTP, does not have the largest budget in its industry, but manages to be highly effective by being efficient and responsive to their environment (baseball innovations for Tampa, fan desires for OOTP). Tampa, like OOTP, is mostly followed and enjoyed by fans who aren't willing to leave their houses in the evenings. OOTP's "bugs per thousand lines of code" ratio is remarkably similar to Tampa's "fans per thousand seats in stadium" ratio, due to an exceptional developmental team. A worthy choice, to be sure. |

We Mets fans are all aware of how an owner's personal financial situation can affect team payroll.
