Schedule help

I had a 24 team league that played 150 games, that I reset and started over.
2 Leagues, 2 Divisions in each (4 total), 6 teams each.

Evolution is turned on and the league expanded. Now when the schedule is generated, there are 144, for some 141 for others. I've tried clearing and regenerating, but it still doesn't add up. Also, it doesn't add interleague games.

There are now 7/6/6/7 teams in each division.

Can I get a schedule that will "fill out" over the season (there are multiple days off on every team in April through September?

Do I need to split into 3 Divisions?

Which one of these would work?

link - 26 teams, 162 games, (2S/2D/6767T), interleague, posted 2022/06/01

150 games would be 5 games against every other team. That should work?

There's the problem. OOTP cannot generate a schedule with an odd number of teams in each subleague which has interleague play on, so it generates a schedule without interleague games. The result is teams playing differing numbers of games.

You'll either need a custom-created schedule to handle 13-team subleagues, or you'll have to move a team to the other subleague so each has an even number of teams.

Would it work if I turned interleague off?

You still won't get a sensible OOTP-generated schedule due to the 13-team subleagues. However, if you plan on importing a custom schedule afterward, then that won't matter.

When you import, do you have to follow the guidelines of when to start, etc.?

I may just event the divisions and go back to 150. That is 5 games against every team.

If I recall correctly, those details should be picked up from the imported file. The key details that must match between OOTP and the imported file are (1) interleague play yes or no; (2) balanced schedule yes or no; and (3) the number of games each team is to play in the season.

Note that (1) and (2) are effectively just labels in the schedule file and do not necessarily have to reflect what is actually in the file, it just needs to match what was set inside the game. For example, if you set the schedule to be balanced in OOTP, you can import a schedule file that is not balanced by changing that detail in the header of the schedule file; you do not need to change the actual content of the schedule.

Thanks. I evened out the divisions and generated a 150 schedule, but it didn't put any interleague play, even though the box was checked.

Yes, that's because OOTP cannot generate interleague games.
