It's getting so bad, my team might get relegated in the final season.

Yes, My team also has that World Series lag. I have never seen my relief staf pitch so poorly. I had to replace a few and have no reliable closer. I should not get relegated (God forbid) but I should because these clowns do not deserve to be in the Perfect league. Of the 11 we have lost , 8 has been lost going into the 7th with the lead. We just lost a game leading 10-5 going into the 7th and gave up 4 in the ninth to lose it. This is a patterned that cannot be tolerated. It just is not fair to have my starters giving the lead over to some idiot who walks in and gives up the game. After replacing some fools in the bull pen we did have a 4 game winning streak to end April but I am getting so tired and worn out having to adjust this team day in and day out for every series. For the last 3 or 4 seasons it has become worse and worse. I would have been relegated back to the Gold league by now if I had to work. This set of losers (Just some of them and hopefully I got rid of most) just give me ulcers. I can’t wait for 20 so maybe I can build a real team. 🤬

Kids, let this be a lesson to you.
On page one I posted standings (as of April 13 game time) that had my three teams on top of their divisions. I knew it wouldn't be long before that dropped, and sure enough next sim day two teams were in second. But the baseball and PT Gods made sure I learned my lesson. Since that day: RED GRYPHS 8-17 for 13-20 overall... last in their division. GOLD GRYPHS 10-14 for 15-18 overall... 4th in their division ... and the cherry on top? My WS Champ Blue team that made the playoffs 8 out of 9 years at perfect? Yeah that's right... BLUE GRYPHS 9-16 for 14-19 overall... and LAST in their division. Life lesson learned. When you're full of &^@#$ keep your mouth shut. |

It seems we have more extreme parks again:
Magpies and Zorro have a 1.100 for righties. Angry Dragons, Chargers and Blue Rocks have a 1.100 for lefties Blue Rocks had a great start this week so I noticed the amazing pitcher setup. 5 left handed and 5 right handed SPs in the lineup. The team can rotate nicely based on upcoming matches. I always struggle with the decision making for extreme parks. Park favors LHBs and my opponent uses a LHP since my lineup is likely to have more RHBs. Does it work out better to keep the RHB and accept that the park will limit them? Or does it work better to go all in on LHBs and hope that the LHPs don't limit them to very little offense? What are your experiences? More wins when matching higher offense for ballpark or when matching the weakness of the pitcher? My own results and tests have been inconsistent. |

I didn't expect this league to be so good and I'm struggling a lot more than in every other year in perfect.
I also have an extreme lefty park with an all lefty rotation and a lefty heavy lineup, but I'm really in trouble so far. It's a nice challenge though. Last edited by camonroe; 03-12-2019 at 02:32 PM. |

Good luck. I always wanted to try an all Lefty pitcher lineup but there are so many good hitters in this league that can also put up HRs.
Did you have the same strategy before? I am curious if your HR/9 is going to increase a lot in this league compared to before. |

Yes the team has been set up this way from the beginning, adding players when I could. My HR/9 are a bit up this year but I want to check with a bigger sample size. |

Thank you for the standings.
The same Base Stealers were within 1-2 games of relegation and it came down to the very end of Saturday (no roster additions). What a weird start this week.

wow, that's a pleasant surprise! Is this the year my team finally breaks out of the .500 rut and wins my division?
Probably not. But at least I can hold out hope for now |

The new card list has made me second-guess my strategy for the next version. I think free-to-play might be the best idea because it will take literally thousands of dollars to be competitive in PT2.0's perfect league.

You are right, the top cards are going to be insanely expensive and very powerful to have. |
