Historical - Moving Players

Is there any way to move players between teams to reflect actual player transactions in any given historical season?

Other than manually editing them yourself in commissioner mode, no. It'd be nice to get historical transactions in at some point, but that's an enormous research project and the holes in the transaction records get bigger the farther back you go.

If one wanted to make the transactions themselves in Commissioner Mode, here's a site that covers NHL transactions going back to 1960 HISTORY OF NHL TRADES (To Jeff - you're probably already aware of this)

It's I'm sure not perfect, but I suspect it would be more than "good enough" to better recreate the historical experience

Is it possible to play Historical Mode and "turn off" AI trading?

I'm still wondering is it possible to play Historical Mode and "turn off" AI trading? If it is possible, how?

Thanks

The trading frequency can be set to 0 in the League edit screen. But it won't stop teams from signing free agents.

Thanks Jeff! Perhaps in the future there could be a way to stop the signing of free agents added? That way those willing to use Commissioner Mode to take the time to make just the changes that happened in real life could do so
