I am a long-time player of OOTP. Last month, I tried the demo for ITP and really enjoyed it. This type of sports RPG has a lot of potential.
I've read the thread and there seems to be some implication that Markus will be writing an ITP 2.0. Can anyone confirm this? I don't want to plunk down $20 for v1.0 if there is something in the works. Thanks.

Markus has expressed a desire to write a 2.0… someday. And I think it was a year ago he expressed that. While we're trying to put as much pressure on him as is polite, as far as we know he hasn't started on 2.0, and nothing is appearing on the horizon.

Marcus, I hope someday you can get a 2nd version of this game done. The first game had its weaknesses, but was a nice start especially considering nobody had ever done a similar game (at least not for baseball).

I will buy this game when I go home. So, here is my support as well, for the above ideas!

Good game...LOT'S of room for expansion
After much troubleshooting to resolve a licensing glitch (btw, the support at elicense was fantastic!) I played the game through several years of sim. I don't necessarily intend for this to be a negative, but the game was not what I thought it would be, especially after playing several seasons of the OOTP classic. I found the game to be overly simple + amateurish + certainly not at the level of your OOTP sim. That being said, I am an optimist + I am trying to make lemonade out of lemons. I would like to see this game developed further...much further. I don't know how many resources in your development group go to the ITP software, but I think you really hit on something with the player's sim "world". You should develop that quite a bit more, especially the bar being the only form of entertainment that gets the players mood to a high level + btw, not that often as I got turned down so many times by 20 yr old girls that I felt like I was back in college! I'd love to see the player be able to buy Astin Martins + date Madonna or Mariah or even walk the dark line of steroids.
Hope to see this sim grow. Good luck. GS. |

I'm running out of patience with my OotPB10 problems, so I'm pinning my hopes on ITP2 now… as long as pisd isn't involved with the licensing.

Can't read some content
I really like the premise of the game. I am having major problems reading some of the content on the screen. Many instances of black on a black background or white on white makes it impossible to read. In the gym, I can't read the content for each day at all. When in the auctions, a new click on a different item just overwrites the first item without removing the first item from the screen, creating a jumble of words that are unreadable. This situation is making it very difficult to enjoy the full potential of the game. Any plans to fix this problem?

Honestly? I can't recall your problem being mentioned before so maybe it isn't the game? I am not the best with troubleshooting though, so it may be.
Don't expect any fixes. This game is an afterthought. About twice a year at that. Maybe. But welcome to ITP
