About 10 days ago I bought another license to get 3 more teams. I'm doing a smallball team, a packs only, and a slugger team. On about the 5th day I packed a live Scherzer on the slugger team. Sold him for 27k, bought a 87 Harry Heilman and a 91 Jim Thome and had like 8900 left.
So yesterday I log in to them and I'm just over 10k, so I'm like, screw it I'm gonna buy 10 packs. After 7 packs, I had one live silver. Pack 8 I hit 80 Carlos Santana. Pack 9 boom, 100 Josh Gibson. Best card I've ever opened. Pack 10, last card is 98 Ted Williams. I quicksold the Carlos Santana and bought 1 more pack. 99 Barry Bonds. What a run. So now I've got about a 500k starting lineup in iron.

Well, this is a first for me. Both a cycle, and natural cycle in this game. Nice little PP boost to come home to.

Scored 34 runs in a game on 25 hits, pretty crazy. I think everyone who got on base must have scored. The guy wasn't tanking either, just had all of his pitchers run out of gas and had the position players on the mound.

In 191 plate appearances, SE Luke Appling has almost matched his doubles total for the entire last season (31) with 30 doubles, and he's almost matched his WAR total as well.
He's helping to keep my time in contention with two perennial 120+ game winners in my division.

My 83 Dave Stieb threw a Maddux! CGSO, 4 H, 3 BB, 6 K, throwing 99 pitches in a 3-0 victory over the Charlotte Stoned Crabs. Jose Altuve hit a HR, and Griffey Jr. and Judge added run-scoring singles to power the offense.

Curt Schilling!
Also, I just learned that the whole fastball/watermelon seed thing is something Ty Cobb said about Walter Johnson. Never heard that before.

For a change of pace I used the 1939 Yankees in challenge mode and this happened on the first play through.

Put up 25 runs in 9 innings for the 2nd time.
One of those games with a ridiculous amount of special notes. Only John Olerud failed to collect himself some Rib-eye steak. He did touch the plate 4 times.

I have another team I made the other week so I could crack some packs when I have nothing to do on my main team. I log in to see I have 10k perfect points, so I buy 10 packs. First card? Live Severino. On my main team I haven't pulled a diamond in weeks. Then a few packs later, my first ever perfect card, on any team, pops up. Live Rendon.
I guess that's what I deserve for opening packs on a team I don't care about.
