Historical Sim and Babe Ruth

Ever notice that if you create a fictional league that adds historical rookies, Babe Ruth always seems to have a pretty middling career? AI just does not want to move him off the mound.

Five sims of this type

Fictional league
Add historical rookies
Evolution of league on. All options.

He has never hit more than 255 homers.

Play the game in windows, keep the 350 pg. game guide open as well. It will be easier to learn the game that way.

What's the year for the stats modifiers and did you auto-calc for that year....

Ruth, Gehrig, and Wilson are studs in MTBA we are off season 1923... Ruth has had the injury bug though

Cannot tell you how many leagues I have played with Ruth in them but it is many in the 20 editions of OOTP I have owned. He invariably has a so-so career, occasionally he ends up with a good career batting average but his home run numbers are always abysmal, fictional, historical it just doesn't matter he never produces as he did in real life. Mostly happy with OOTP accuracy but Ruth and Sandy Koufax both seem to always be much weaker players in OOTP.

For me, the Babe produces between 630-670 career home runs and his batting average his almost the same.
I play with 1 year recalc, development off., 2 way player off, injuries off, historical setup.
He starts out as a pitcher and then switches over to OFer after about 3 years.

Ruth here gets 300 HR and 285 W I admit I forced him into the rotation in 1931 to try to get 300/300 but he retired
