Game crashes when trying load game from startup - Page 2

Also it might be a try to select 1440 * 900 as resolution so it works on just one of your monitors.

Yes.
Not possible to load the game, in that case i need to start a new game (to play the game, for now)

You need to upload such save so we can take a look (and make sure your computer has enough disk space, the location where you save has Admin rights and your HD is not fragmented).

It kinda works now, needed to start a new game and now it is loading it, but have the feeling i cant trust game. If i have played many season and needed to start a new game again :S

Now after i load the game, every player is Jim Unknown.
This game unstable.

The same thing happened to me when I tried to load my game. Now I lost my Blackhawks save that I took so long to made trades and win the Stanley Cup. I'm so mad with this game because I don't want to start a new save. Hope Sebastian, that I talked on facebook, help to fix this problem.

We try to help you but the problems you have seem to only happen on your computer (otherwise many other would tell us) and that makes it much harder.

The stuff you describe always sound like your saves are corrupted (everyone Jim Unknown = names.dat corrupt) and there is not much we can do about it. Are you sure your HDD has enough diskspace and is not corrupted?

And do you do something like quit the program while saving?

Can you start a new game, sim a week, save, close and load it again without trouble?

Every time I attempt to run FHM3, it shuts down before even entering the main screen of the game.

I am currently having the same issue. I was able to play the game last night just fine when I started a new sandbox game, but now that I want to continue that game today, I attempt to load game and the following occurs.. I can get to the main screen, I choose Load Game... I choose the save I want to load, and hit OK... It runs thru the load process to 100% and says finished loading, then I get the dreaded Franchise Hockey Manager 3 has stopped working error, and it closes the program. Has there been a solution to this yet? Thanks!

It sounds like there's a problem with that particular save; the problems mentioned earlier in this thread were fixed long ago. If you can upload the save for us, we can have a look and see exactly what's going wrong - there are instructions for uploading it to our ftp site here, or you can post it to a file sharing site like filedropper.com or dropbox and send me the link.

I can't upload the save because as soon as it crashes all my saves get deleted. This is absolutely ridiculous that it has happened to this many people. If it was fixed for those people, why can't I find a cure for it in the forums, anywhere? The threads I found have just stopped with no solution. If there is one can you point me in the right direction? It ticks me off that I get so far in the game and it suddenly dies on me. in the saved_games folder all I have now is a readme.txt file that tells me the leagues are saved in that folder with a .lg extension.

It almost appears as tho the scouting portion may have something to do with it, because when I loaded a scouting portion which I don't see in the progress now? I currently get to 100% finished, but I don't see the scouting portion of the load anymore. Weird.

There's literally nothing in the saved_games folder other than that readme.txt file? No subfolders or other files at all? There should be one other file named saved_games.dat and folders for each of your saves with a .lg extension at the end of their name; the contents of one of those folders are what we need. If those aren't present, you wouldn't be seeing anything at all listed when you click on Load Game.

(And just to be sure, the folder you should be looking in is C:\Users\(your username)\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\Franchise Hockey Manager 3\saved_games.)

Right-click on the .lg folder of one of the saves that won't load, select Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, and that'll create a .zip file with the contents of the folder, that's the file we need you to upload.
