When my team won the cup, the coach was called skipper in response to a question about winning. That is a baseball term, as in hockey they are called head coaches.

When scouting a player that isn't very good, it says it like this;

Joe Schmoe has not the potential to become more than a backup player.

doesn't have would probably work better.

Under Manager Home, it says;

The owner is low: season expectation: is to play .500 ball. Obviously doesn't fit with hockey.

In the newest build (9.12) message ID 25 is still incorrectly spelled.

A player made a "vary" positive impression.

When playing the WHL, I noticed the city for the Brandon Wheat Kings was not "Brandon" but "Brandon Wheat" and the team name was only "Kings".

Some dates of birth say 21th,22th,23th & 31th. However 1st, 2nd & 3rd are fine.
Also I had Tomas Kopecky's name in a news article as Toma? Kopecky and his profile page says Tomaw Kopecky.

All of these errors are found in 0.9.40:

[23-248] The Rouyn-Noranda Huskies trade to P.E.I. for . (No player information is given)

Had same message right after with two other teams. No player info given. Both have subject line as [24-249].
Edit: Every time there's a blockbuster trade, 23-248 is used with the same error

Another message (no ID #): "While scouting S. Phaneuf, his teammate E. Marcoux made a vary positive impression."

It should be very and not vary.

From the latest build:

[25-186] Columbus swaps Boll to Dallas for Boll

Columbus actually traded Jared Boll and another player to Dallas for a draft pick.

I will report this as a bug, as this is hard coded

That must be hard coded somewhere as it is not in the text database. Can you tell me which screen and context this occurred?

On scouting reports for good young defencemen, it will say:

"[133-142] ‘player x’ has potential to become a first liner"

A defencemen wouldn't be referred to as a"first liner." Instead they'd be called either a "top-pairing defencemen" or "number one defencemen."

Also, had a news story about a trade that read:

[26-212]” The Detroit Red Wings have parted ways with 20-year-old Centre Louis-Marc Aubry, the 2013 NHL Entry Draft round 3 (Detroit) pick in a trade with the Minnesota Wild…”

The bolded section is awkwardly worded. Should probably read something like "Louis-Marc Aubry, the 79th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry draft..."

Just bought the game and started with Detroit Red Wings.

First mistake found, Detroit prospect "Rasmus Bodin" is in the game "Ramus Bodin".

Under the Detroit Red Wings it lists Mike Ilitch as a player under the staff. He's the owner and it has someone named Jamal al Din Ali as owner. Never heard of him.

very minor but i'd like to bring attention to the terminology used on the draft board. "Old Team" and "New Team" isn't entirely correct for hockey as it would be football or baseball. That player will most likely still play for his old team for a few more years. "Drafted By" and "Drafted From" would be more appropriate.
Also showing their stats for that year would be ideal in that area.

Also highly requesting change in order of this - please see image.

In my league I'm playing as the Detroit Red Wings and where it lists the staff it lists the team owner and its correct there but when you go under team finances it lists some random person that is the owner.

Team abbreviations don't work right in custom games.

When initially setting up the league, it doesn't matter what you put for the team abbreviations because whatever the default ones were, those are the ones used in game, for example under the team overview screen where the contracts are listed.

Also, if you then go into the edit league menu, you can see the original default abbreviations, and no matter how many times you change them, it doesn't work.
