I honestly don't see the need to add these cards.

Most of them are probably clones of multiple iterations already in the game and the only thing they do, since they are treated as non live cards, is significantly lowering the odds of getting a valuable card if you pull a perfect.

Well, these cards are actually pretty awesome, with boosted offense & defense, they stack up nicely compared to very good perfect historical cards So I do not share your opinion one bit. I'd love to pull one of these.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I suggest you watch the YouTube archive (which will be out a bit later today) to get the full scoop on the Team of the Year cards (including full splits for each card). They are not simply clones of the live cards, they are reflective of the 2019 season and they are pretty excellent!

I did watch and no doubt the cards are excellent. Not knocking them, I think the point was more that dont need multiple versions of Yelich, Yates, etc...

Only speaking for myself, but historicals make the game more interesting and I hate wasting a rare perfect pull on a 100 Yates. I've pulled his diamond enough lol. But thats beside the point I guess.

Still appreciate the new content.

I like the cards, just don't like the black and white artwork. Looks like something they'd hand out at a funeral.

I don't mind the cards, and I voted in the poll myself. But as others have mentioned, do they dilute the pool of historical cards? It would be nice if they were part of the 70% LIVE bucket, and not the already-stretched 30% historical bucket. These quasi-LIVEs could be pulled at a reduced rate to regular LIVEs of course.

Whatever the pull odds are, they probably can't be changed this year. But that's my feedback for next year: put all the LIVEs and the quasi-LIVEs in the same bucket. And maybe even reduce the bucket to 2/3, but that's just a hope.

By the time these cards become readily available for $100 or $200 each (instead of $500 or more each) it will be time for PT21.

I welcome any sort of card, including multiple 2019 cards for players, but that is a point that might need looking into indeed.

Just here to also echo that point above! With how often you get live cards instead of historicals, I never buy diamond or gold packs for that reason. I do appreciate this for having a little more variety in the live cards available, like these and the player of the month/etc. cards., but if these take away from the odds of historical card pulls that's a huge bummer.

Are the new cards only available in packs? If someone opens them in a pack, then they can decide to sell them in the AH?

Yes, someone had already listed a 100 POTY Liam Hendriks card last night for 100/175K mere minutes after the stream had ended. Like all other cards in PT (unless locked for missions), these are sellable. If you check the AH, you'll probably see one or two of them up for sale.

All cards are only available in packs, and have always been. They're historical perfects that have been out for less than 24 hours. It's entirely likely that several of them have not been pulled yet.

How were the 100 ratings derived? You said they were based on 2019 performance? Does that mean you completely eliminated any other prior projections? Is it like a peak card for the season.

Apologize if I missed this previously.

Yes, it's based 100% on the 2019 stats, plus manual adjustments where needed so the cards ended up being 100 in our rating algorithm.

I like these and the design as well. It's good to see some current day players other than Trout have a card that is actually playable at high levels, was surprised at the quality of some when looking over the spreadsheet update.

+2

This is less and less like a baseball game with all these exaggerated cards.
