The WBF is a world league consisting of two separate 18 team leagues. Each league has 3 regional divisions made up of 16 teams. League Champions play for the WBF Championships.
We also hold 2 yearly tournaments, and each team plays in one or the other depending on where they finish in the standings: We have the World Cup and the Jobu Cup. The league is set up to create as much parity as possible. No scouts means that nobody can have an extra advantage over a newer less knowledgeable GM. Finances are set so that all teams have a fair shot at competing, and managing finances will be a key component to success.

We are just at the end of our 1st regular season and there regardless of whether you were at the top or bottom of your division, there were so many races for spots with our unique playoff and tournament qualifying structure.

We currently have a few teams open. Don't be alarmed by the large number of teams for two reasons.
1) We are a large 36 team league so will have more openings than smaller leagues
2) Most of these guys are people who went missing after the inaugural draft or were barely active. I'm someone who likes to keep GMs around, especially original ones, so I hung on a bit longer than I probably should. However, now it's time to cut bait and make sure we have active GMs for all teams heading into the off-season, draft, and year end tournaments.

Current Open Teams:

San Juan Toucans Currently 5th in the very tough Latin America division with a .500 record. Will be playing a qualifying series for entry into the World Cup.

Sao Paolo Vipers Currently 4th in Latin America and still with a shot to nab the final automatic entry to the World Cup. Otherwise, they'll play the series vs the Toucans.

We have just concluded our 1st regular season, wrapped up the Jobu Cup and World Cup tournaments and our first amateur draft is going live in the morning. Now would be a great time to get in and leave start making your mark!

Detroit has a handful of stars, but not much financial wiggle room. A trade or two will help that out and they are projected to get back into the green with this upcoming season.
