Issue with Deleting Duplicate Players

I'm in the offseason of my MLB replay going from 1871 to at least 1900.
I've played thru the 1871 Season and now it's January 1st 1872. There appears to be some duplicate players that have made their way to free agency. However, when I delete one of the players, it looks like he magically reappears as a duplicate free agent.

Is this actually a duplicate and if so how do I get rid of it. Thanks in advance.

There is not enough information in your post to comment on. How are you deleting the player? Perhaps a screenshot would help?

In general once a player is deleted he is gone forever and won't come back.
