Mike Trout in XX
Quick question: in my five first saves in XX, Trout remains a very valuable player into his mid-late thirties. He has tremendous walk rate and good defense (unless he starts being used at DH which has happened twice). His power is good as well.
However; he never hits above .270 in any seasons, even starting in 2019 non-live start. I think the game is penalizing his excellence in other categories somehow despite his high contact ratings. Anyone else seen this? Trout is a career .306 hitter so this drop off is very unrealistic. Not sure it’s small sample size as it’s occurred across 30+ seasons now where he was in his “contact” prime. |

Have you tracked OBP for him in this timeframe? Thinking he may be walking a ton.

Also, his Intelligence rating is always way too high. He should have like a max of 5 on a 1-250 scale because Mike Trout is an idiot.

Just out of sheer curiosity, I looked him up in my save. Granted, it’s June 12, 2019 for me. He’s hitting .368 with 21 home runs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm mid-way through 2020 in my main save. Just looked him up based on slugga27 doing it.
2019: .304 avg, 41 HR, 109 RBI, .473 OBP June 7, 2020: .281, 8 HR (on pace: 21), 29 RBI (on pace: 74), .423 OBP So 2019 is exactly Trout....2020 he's being paid $36 mil to be above-average. |

He hit in the .220's in my game for a couple years in a row. I think it was 2020 or 2021 but he was still a valuable player then when he was around 30-32 he returned to peak Mike Trout having 10+ WAR seasons. The guy is incredible

I assume you mean for resigning with the never-going-to-win Angels? Maybe he has undying loyalty.

Yes, if that is the basis of the comment I as well would like to point out his loyalty. Not to mention, you know, the 430 million dollars extension.

Mostly that he'd ever choose to play for the Angels in the first place. But outside of that, even, he is dumb as a box of stupid rocks.

Well, he never chose to play for the Angels in the first place. MLB has a draft system set up

I've never met the guy so I can't comment on his intelligence, but your irrational anger seems to border on rage haha.

I ran him for 11 years in a sim and he had 2 sub-.300 years in his late 30s...the rest were .325-.385 with the usual and customary number of HR's.
