P409 - Season 2041

Welcome to P409 - It is season 2041 and we have 22 Perfect league championships in P409.

Notes:

1. One of my sons took his F2P team to the Diamond championship and won a title. He will get a nice surprise when he finds out that his Renton Warriors play in the same division with Zorro (hope he will be back soon...we miss his comments).

2. Also back in the league are the Silver Pirates, our all silver batter team.
They managed to win a Diamond championship a few seasons ago and have been keeping steady in Perfect league.
That is until they got shuffled into the NC Central division with 3 prior champs and 11 championships among them.

3. My own team the Seattle Base Thieves failed (for a second time) in the playoffs last season. For a second season in a row, we had back to back days with blown saves and lost during the playoffs.

We managed to get shuffled into the division with the defending "all offense ballpark" champion Kentucky Crowns.

Thanks for starting the thread and the update... and totally agree... we miss Zorro around here big time. Hope all is well with our pal.

I am getting worried about our friend, Zorro. I hope all is improving for him and that throat problem did not turn out to be much worse. Maybe he will pop in this week.

On another note. We ended up in the short league in PT 20, Joe. I hate these short 2 Division per Conference leagues with their weird schedules and playoffs. Your team should roll over this league though. We will be outclassed but we will try to meet you in the Championship.

I made it to the finals last week in a small PT20 league too (not sure how I ended up twice in a small league) and got beat by exactly the team I usually tend to build (you can laugh at me for getting outplayed):

Contact hitters with infield defense at 110+ at every position plus lots of good base running.

I could not get any hits and ended up losing 1-4 despite what I thought should have been a win for me.

And worst of all Blackwell missed out on his 4th Reliever of the year award. He lost to his own teammate (Rivera).

While I always wanted to have some of the players that I currently have on my roster, they don’t really fit what I wanted to build long term.
I have been busy trying to capture my sons PT20 story and watching real games so I have not really spend much time with my PT20 team yet.
