"Minor" Complaint about this Board

Guys:

I have responded by email to three different leagues in the last 10 days or so. My "minor" complaint is I have not heard anything back from any of the leagues I inquired about!

Please understand I am not expecting a long reply, just something like "thanks for your note, no openings now but we will keep you in mind" or "we will place you on our waiting list" something of that type.

Am I on the waiting list for Maelstrom? how about that old-timers league I expressed an interest in?? I think you get the idea.

Thanks, I know it is a hassle sometimes but if you are a Commish try to find time to respond when folks contact you.

Are you sure you didn't get an email from me? I swear I sent one out to you. I'll have to recheck on my lunch hour.

In any case, I apologize if you didn't receive anything. I always try to make it a point to respond to people who want to get on the waiting list.

Either way, how is this a complaint about THIS board? Commishes sometimes get busy and don't respond immediately to all inquiries, but I still don't see how that has anything to do with this board.

I think his complaint was that leagues come here to recruit, and when people apply they sometimes don't get a response.

I would say alot of the time that is because the commish then gets slammed with tons of applications for their leagues

As an owner in the Maelstrom, I have to vouch for the integrity of it's commissioners. I've never seen a higher level of dedication to perfection. I'm sure it must have been an oversight. Shane has a top notch league that is definitely worth the wait. As you can see, he responded to you here, didn't he?

Yes he did! And as I told him I appreciate his getting back with me. He was sure he had responded but he later admitted that he had not, it was just an error. However I will say 4-5 others never did get abck with me but I think the point of my post may help all of us in the long run. It was only meant as a gentle reminder that it nice and a common courtesy to answer people when they post something or send you a personal email.
