Thanks, ceph! Outstanding. Quick question I've tossed about and time to ask, just don't know how to phrase it but I'll give it a whirl. What happens if I cut and paste all of the volumes in an attempt to create one massive file to utilize? Do names overwrite each other? Are there Aces in one Vol that are named the same as another, but have different info? Is there any merit to even considering this, other than having one source when I am seeking a specific nickname and its components?

Starting with volume 4, every set uses a naming convention that helps to make sure no two sets are named the same and that corresponding logos/hats/jerseys match up.

So, in individual volumes 1-3 (which are each linked in the OP), I believe the sets are labelled like: aces-1, caps_aces-1, jerseys_aces-1. This matched them, but the game couldn't find them so they needed to be added individually.

With 16, Andreas changed the naming convention to be like this: aces_123456_abcdef (the 6-letter combos being the main and background color hexcodes), caps_aces_123456_abcdef, jerseys_aces_123456_abcdef. So, the sets are all named to match, but even better, the game will automatically put them in the game for us.

But, for the Complete collection all sets have been named correctly, even the ones from volumes 1-3. So if you'd like to have all of the sets with no naming issues the best route is to download the Nickname Project Complete: Vol. 1-5.

Hey everybody I was wondering if anybody could help create a logo, jersey, and cap for a expansion team i like to do called the Iowa city baseball kings. I've tried doing creating them multiple times and failed. (Also if you can come up with better name for an Iowa team to go with awesome logo, jersey and cap feel free to send it my way.)

This is a thread for logo/uniform sets of just team nicknames (no cities). If you want a city specific set you might want to start a new thread with the request. Or you could search this thread for a Kings set and see if you find something you like.

There is always room for mods like this. I wouldn't be too worried about whether or not something official competes with it. In fact, I'd actually be really happy if a mod like this is what spurs OOTP into having something like this actually in the game.

Depends on what you're doing.

Did you download the Complete Collection? The first three volumes that are linked in the OP are not formatted to automatically plug into the game. The best way to get those volumes to auto plug is via the Complete Collection.

Do you have the jerseys here: C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 18\jerseys\nicknames

Do you have the ballcaps here: C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 18\ballcaps\nicknames

Do you have the logos here: C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 18\logos\nicknames

If not, then that's what you're doing wrong. If so, then it's not something on our end, but rather something with the game; you may have a bug.

so I double checked all of those. I have downloaded the complete collection and made sure all files were in those directories. there has to be a bug....

Not collected. I believe most of the ones used are posted somewhere in the thread in non-circular form. Which is probably not what you were hoping for.
