I just lost two packs
I just used 4,000 PP's to buy 4 packs and I could open the first two without any problems.
When I tried to open the third a message came up "An error occured. Please check your internet connection" When I tried to open the fourth pack the same message appeared I didn't receive any cards and the packs don't show up anymore - I hoped that the next sim would "restore" them, but it didn't happen

Are you sure the cards weren't dumped into your inactive list?

I found a bunch of 50's and low 60's cards in my inactives
Since I have set a limit to quick-sell everything under 70 I apparently didn't have much luck with these two packs and quick sold them now for a grand total of 100 PP's But I guess that I got the cards. Thanks for your help!

I had the same issue
I just had this happen to me as well. I purchased 5 packs, opened 2, and when I tried to open the 3rd it froze. I clicked to open again, and it still stayed frozen. I clicked a third time after waiting a while and finally it went back to my main screen. I was then I noticed I only had 1 pack remaining. I didn't take note of how many cards I had before I bought these, so I don't know for sure if I lost them, but it looks that way.

As mentioned above, if packs fail to open, then the cards are usually placed on your inactive list, ignoring any auto-sell options you have specified.

Matt, would it be possible to have some sort of badging or other type of indicator in your inactive list to show a card is "new" since you visited that list latst? Like, show a badge so that when you visit the inactive list you can scroll through the cards and see what was just put there - when you leave the inactive list all the badges can go away so that the next time you go there the "new" indicator shows what's been added to the list since you were there last. It would help situations like this where cards are added to your inventory but you don't have any idea what they were.
Alternatively, you could list the specific cards that were added to your inventory in some sort of history list (transaction log?). |

That's possible, I really have no way to know. I should have mentioned however, that besides just freezing, it threw up an error briefly that said something about "unable to download card data" or something of that nature.
