OMG! Could you imagine?
I decided to take on the Marlins challenge. Actually, this is my third try. The 1st, I rage quit the team after following up a 72-90 season with a 14-49 start, joining the German Bundesleague. The 2nd, I got fired with 2 weeks left in my 4th season.
This time however, I managed to snag a wildcard berth, and hang onto my job. I followed that up with another 86-76 season, and finished 1 game out; I totally blame that on a bad start (10-14 April, 11-16 May). Anyway, here I am going into my 2025 season, wringing my hands over my out of control payroll. I traded to get Nolan Arenado, who's make 32 million per, and I signed Sixto Sanchez to a back-loaded $215 million deal; in addition to my 2b getting a huge arbitration settlement, and I couldn't move him, because he has a PCL injury. My goals were to get to a balance of $17 Million (I was -$17.5 million), get back to the playoffs, and increase attendance. I just pretty much simmed through the offseason, because I had no money to sign free agents. Preseason starts, and the screen changes colors. "Uh oh! did I get fired?" Nope! The Marlins have moved to Jacksonville and have renamed themselves the Whalers. I found this hilarious; although, if I were a Marlins fan, I'd be so angry right now. The IRL implications of this would be mind boggling; not to mention, I'm not sure Jacksonville would have been the #1 choice. My new stadium only plays slightly better than my old one; but I suppose any improvement is welcome. My AA team was in J'Ville. Where should I move it?

It's time to set up an all-Whalers farm system. Bring a team to Hartford!

Has to be Miami, though this may add to the original insult of the team moving
