Removing a "!"

I'm doing a simulation in commissioner mode and trying to remove the "!" denoting that a player was a Rule 5 draftee requiring him to be on the active roster. I am running the team he was originally on(Elvis Luciano-from KC, Rule 5 drafted by TOR) and traded a player to have him returned. Upon returning to his original team, Rule 5 requirements are supposed to dissolve.
Please advise. Thanks.

I tried to do the same thing with a guy who was injured for most of the year and for some reason it kept the designation on him for the following year. I couldn't find anywhere in the editor to remove that either. I finally resorted to assigning him to my AAA team in the editor and that got rid of it.

That bit might be legitimate, since a player has to be active for 90 days in order to lose his rule 5 status.

I couldn't find anywhere in the editor to remove that either. I finally resorted to assigning him to my AAA team in the editor and that got rid of it.
