...you could do a lot worse than Liam Hendriks. He's held his Stuff & Movement well for a good while now, and recent average is only 1600pp (this may go up now he's closer to Diamond).

I still use Hader as a Plan B guy to bring up if one of my middle relievers struggle. And Jordan Hicks is still in my pen. Gotta hope you strike people out and survive some damage. If they get blown up you can always call up a safer option from the reserves.

After all this discussion I stuck Hendriks on my Perfect team. I believe his ERA is in the 6s (with a very small sample size of course!). I blame you guys!

I have used both these guys on my 3 teams to death, they are awesome. The all Star pressley may be added soon.

Felipe Vazquez, if you want a groundballer (elite infield), or
Kirby Yates, if you want a flyballer (elite outfield)

I was lucky one one of my teams to get a Ken Giles early on and he has been consistently excellent for me in PT. One of the few bright spots on that team.

Stuck Hendriks on my main team in silver. Didn't quite do it for me. Also had Felipe Vazquez on my $ team in perfect. Didn't work out either. In general, lives are nothing more than a last resort for me.

PocketsAintFull, you no longer need to hide around here - my Liam Hendriks has recovered from his tough start and is now sitting with a 3.50 ERA (and a FIP of 3.22) in 51+ innings.

I am trying to complete the Athletics LIVE Mission, and thanks to this thread I presume... I had to pay a heck of a lot more than 1,600 PP for Hendriks!

He was one of the last two cards I needed for the mission, and as I watched his rating kept inching up and up alongside his price. For whatever reason he seems to be one of the more difficult cards to get for the A's. So while this thread might have contributed to the price, it's not the main driver!

He put up an 8.91 ERA for me last season in 33 innings, although I blame the .447 (!) opponent BABIP for most of that. His FIP was 4.28, which all things considered was not terrible.
