Agreed, The Game-- did you by any chance create James Kirsch's face yourself? It looks unbelievably real! If not, what graphics card do you use? Gracias!

It's my take on Shawon Dunston. I hate the version that comes with Fg files. i create many of the FG's for my league.

Here's my fictional league that I'm still running in OOTP14. A rash of shut-outs lately...

I think that's a news story typo. Assuming his birthday is right in the game, he'd be 51 at the time of that HoF announcement (2023). But if he was a first-ballot choice, he'd have played til he was 46.

His last MLB season was in 2015, at age 43 with the LA Dodgers. He refused to accept that he was done, and only retired in 2018 at age 46. Then, 5 years later, he was inducted at age 51. The end of his career was impressively bizarre. I started this league in 2012. Chipper posted a respectable OPS+ of 122 in 145 games, and won the World Series has his Braves defeated my Red Sox. He then became a free agent, and signed with the Dodgers instead of retiring as a career Brave. But wait, there's more! The Giants forked over $14.6 million for his league-average bat and horrifying bad glove...to ride the Bench. He started in only 9 games, playing in 24 total until June 6, 2013...when the Giants traded him to the Braves! The Braves played his OPS+ of 103 at 3B, to the tune of -7.7 ZR/0.874 EFF for the rest of the season. He then signed with the Rangers for 1 year ($5.8 million), was traded to the Twins, barely played, and surely then he retired, right? Nope! The Dodgers paid him $3.04 million to ride the pine in 2015, then nobody signed him for 2 years before he finally gave up on Jan 1, 2018. I have draft pick trading enabled, and when you trade players for Draft Picks, the news stories label the trade as "Player Name for Player Name", while describing the actual trade in the correct manner in the article itself. It's weird, but since it's not a default setting I don't fault OOTP too badly for going that route. |

My Jays are shaking up the roster a bit having missed the playoffs for the first time in years. Rea and Aguilar have been a big part of the Jays for the better part of 10 years now, but it was time for a change.

Let's see, on this day in Mr. Marlins baseball history. The Indians won the series (too bad I manage the Braves), the Pirates and Giants are looking for new GMs. Good luck to whomever lands the Giants job. That owner is an impatient SOB with an overpaid crappy team and he's already fired me once. My star Centerfielder, whom my scout drools over, finished the season on the DL... again. After hitting south of .230... again.
Upgrading the position is job 1 this off season. Maybe I can trade him to the Giants. |
