Team Scouting Discoveries

Is there a way to increase Team Scouting Discoveries to a larger amount than 56? I purposefully created a league with a small draft and there are no free agents younger than 25 years old.

I definitely wish there was more control over the number of players that come into the game this way. The options we have now are quite limited.

I don't know where you are getting the cap of 56 from (as I can see a way to make it much higher), but I don't see how that will work to offset drafts that are set at too low a level. Imo, discoveries appear too sporadic and erratic to sustain a professional operation.

you may get them sporadically, but you know exactly how many per year based on setting.

size of league affects the numbers you can select? if i recall... i thought i saw larger numbers in a 40 team league. been a while, though

i always turn these off and up the IAFA #s. it's not 1:1. 12 or more scouting discoveries per team would be a very large increase. However, they are much better MiL players than S.D. players. so, i figure it's a wash.

the only potential problem to reducing the SD is # of players in Rookie and maybe S A... if you are already skimping by, this may cause shortages... but nothing significant if you have more than enough now.

it's probably going to reduce how many superstars you find - a minor amount. you'll miss out on 1 star player every decade, give or take. no guarantees they would actually develop, but you'd have the opportunity.
