He changed the family name to Cheese to avoid the anti-Irish sentiments of the day.

I don't have a screenshot of it, but I one time lost my closer for 12-13 months because his wife broke his orbital bone with a frying pan. This is the SAME player who 4 years ago (while on a different team) missed a month after his girlfriend punched him (forgot the injury).

picked 13th! in 1st round draft in 1913. Legend start doing things .
i lost opportunity to get Cobb, but lucky to get Ruth. also traded for Shoeless Joe. (playing as GM only, but managers responsible only for strategy) upd. Barry Bonds defeated in 1921! Last edited by sad_mann; 04-29-2016 at 03:48 PM. |

Not only does this guy have an amusing name...
...but that shutout came in his first big-league start.

Actually, all the stuff from my current fictional league comes from this thread:

Markus and crew deserve a LOT of credit for this game. But I swear, the work volunteers have done to come up with storylines and stuff like that is simply amazing. There is no question, those little events just add SO much to immersion in a league. And the cool thing is, the longer this engine is in place, the more storylines and stories can be added to the system.
This thread is a hoot. ("No comeback for Jesus" actually made me LOL.)

I can't claim this one, but I just saw it on the OOTP subreddit and had to share this unconventional draft choice:

Plays by sense of smell, like Tommy played pinball.

mike trout just hit 61 homers in a season. that Denver air, man. also, I find it weird that his WAR was only in the mid-6's after this kind of season. he won the mvp but I feel like that WAR is really low for an mvp winner
