This screenshot is from the beta and the number will be adjusted throughout the life cycle, but yes, this is essentially what we strive for. A common complaint in PT20 was that there not enough promotions / relegations, and this will fix it

I cannot wait to start racking up those stone championships
Also, I saw something about new card art, will perfect cards have more visual flair now? As it stands now they look similar to iron cards but more shiny. They need to pop |

Speaking of Stone, shouldn't levels before Iron take a bit of rearrangement?
Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age... The order as listed (while closer to ootp tradition) is otherwise not intuitive. Bronze has always (to me) seemed out of order in the sequence, and the addition of Stone just makes it more obvious. Last edited by Lemandria; 02-22-2020 at 04:24 AM. |

It's one of those trivial issues that you can really only tweak well before Beta. I'm sure the card art is already done or mostly done. Which would mean changes now are a fast "NO," anyway. Last edited by Lemandria; 02-22-2020 at 06:55 AM. |

Hesiod's Ages of Man also mostly concur with OOTP. ... and well, Heroic cards would look weird.

I'm not sure why, but I always have seen the "bronze" cards mentally as "copper". In my head I'm always thinking Copper. I guess the actual color tone looks more copper to me. lol As far as "stone", it does look a little out-of-place, but the reality is there are only so many metals and renaming a level now would probably lead to a lot of confusion. |

To me, having Rookie & Stone makes Iron sound more impressive

Personally i’m not sure why the league tiers necessarily have to parallel the card tiers either. Nevertheless something just feels unfitting about ‘stone’ tier to me, seems a little out of place but it’s a trivial matter. Last edited by xekyn92; 02-22-2020 at 10:31 AM. |

So will this limit or almost eliminate championships on a player card or will diamond championships also be recognized?

I hope the promotion and relegation will be the same from the start?

You mean no rush to perfect, by promoting 16 teams a week?

You know what I liked? When I was in the entry pool & the league had a unique name.
Perhaps that's a thing reserved to entry pools now or a thing of a past but just something I liked.

I feel like that can be accomplished with the OVR number alone. Stone a rock grey, Iron a metallic grey (dull), Bronze, Silver (shiny grey), Gold, Diamond (current or crystal clear polygonic), Perfect (red, white, blue to go with 21 theme or you know, something), point being the cards could, COULD be identical otherwise.

One problem that I see. Suppose you have 5400 Rookie teams at 30 per league, or 180 Rookie leagues and 4800 Stone teams, in 160 leagues. At the end of the week you promote 8x180, or 1440 teams. But you relegate only 8x160, or 1280 teams.
If you want to build a pyramidal structure, you have to, say, promote 6 teams from each league and relegate 8. That way, if you have 180 leagues at the lowest level, you will have 1080 promotions and if you divide that by 8 you will maintain equilibrium when you have 135 teams at the next level. Carrying this forward, you would have: Rookie 180 Stone 135 Iron 101 Bronze 76 Silver 57 Gold 43 Diamond 32 Perfect 1 That would be a total of 625 leagues, and 18,750 teams. Essentially, if you promote x number of teams from each league at level n to level n+1 and relegate y teams from each league at level n+1 to n, the number of leagues at level n will reach equilibrium at a ratio of y/x * number of leagues at level n+1.
