facegen will not enable

So i set up my global settings to enable 3d and facegen, click ok, save the game and restart. Upon restart and loading the game, all the settings revert back to default. Default on my system for some reason is to have facegen and 3d options disabled

I don't have a GPU in my rig, only a CPU i5-8600k with built in Intel UHD Graphics 630.

OpenGL appears to only be for nvidia drivers, so I'm at a loss on what to do to troubleshoot this problem.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Just wanted to throw this out there because I went down the OpenGL rabbit hole. For me, the problem was actually because Windows 10 defaults to saving files in Onedrive. And my onedrive account has a limited amount of space so I don't think the facegen files were saving due to this limitation. I googled how to change this and it worked no problem after that.

Open GL info has been posted for several of us. Is this fixable? What was tweaked from OOTP 18 to OOTP 19 in facegen? Maybe it needs to be reversed.

Hey Lawn Loaf,
your integrated GPU is good enough to play OOTP with all 3D features.
You might have to download the graphics Card driver from the Intel webside and install it. Windows update only installs a standard driver very often, where opengl support is not included.

Game crashes whenever I go to play an actual game between two teams

So I was reading through a lot of this forum to try and figure out what the problem is, but to start I downloaded the game and it worked perfectly in every way until I got to the regular season. Then when I went to play against Seattle it would take me to the pregame screen and then when I hit Start Game it would crash.

Then I started to do some reading and I disabled my sound because that worked for another user, but then when I was in my manager home tab and clicked Play on the upper right schedule it crashed then. So I really don't know what to do. Any help would be much appreciated. Super frustrating.

Facegen problem

We are sorry to hear that. When looking at your GPU caps log, all I can say is that your gpu is more than capable to play OOTP19 with all 3D features including facegen. So as long as your drivers are up to date, it actually should all run without a problem. Can you please go to settings > troubleshouting and change "Don't write debug info into ootp_trace.txt" to
"Write debug info into ootp_trace.txt". Then in settings>3d&Facegen make sure opegnl mode is set to "always use opengl" or "always use opengl and fast blit" and then turn on facegen again. Then restart the game so you get the message "facegen disabled". Then go to settings>Troubleschooting and click on "open ootp_trace.txt". Please post the file here in the forum. This might help us to find out why facegen keeps getting disabled.

Historical sim has caps of wrong teams

This is the second time this has happened.

Using the Historical Simulation section, I am replaying the 1956 World Series, Yankees vs Brooklyn Dodgers.

The lineups/rosters are fine, and there's nothing wrong with the game action itself.

I have the team widgets visible so I see the lineups along with Facegens and other widgets.

Here's the issue... the Yankee facegens are shown wearing Cincinnati Reds caps, and it appears that the Brooklyn Dodgers players are being depicted wearing Boston Red Sox caps... although I understand that the Dodgers' Brooklyn caps may have looked similar to the Red Sox

The first time this happened, the game log even contained the names of Cincinnati Reds players from the Big Red Machine days (early to mid 70s).

Strange.. and incidentally, the white Brooklyn player pictured is Don Newcome , while the black "Yankee" player wearing the Reds cap is Gil McDougald

Facegen Not Initialized

I haven't played since OOTP15 so, I'm finding it very difficult to get a career up and running properly.

I've tried all of the various recommendations posted above, but I still cannot get any player faces to show up in the game. When I go to the settings menu to adjust the Facegen settings I'm told that Facegen is not initialized, but there is no option to initialize it on this menu screen. Everything related to Facegen is greyed out. What am I missing?

I cannot get a 3d Ball park to load. I import the stadium and everything else loads (day/night/diagram) except the 3d model which says "use default model".I've re-downloaded, zipped the files again, checked to make sure I have the same the same settings as ootp18 and still doesn't work. The park loads no problem for 18 but does not want to work for 19.

Is this with the default parks as well, or only with mods?

I had a ball bounce through the wall and the right fielder disappear through the wall to get it...then he threw it to the cutoff man while still out of the field of vision...
