New Leaderboards
I'm sure like everything, there will be mixed reviews on these - personally don't care for them at all. The extra window for the leader in each category makes it look like separate lists. The extra window for the leader should be what pops open when you hover your mouse on this name, as should a similar window for any player on the ldrbrd.
We have pop ups now, so why not stick with them? Thoughts? |

I disagree. Everyone here loves the new look on the league leaders screen, it was one of the most ugly screens before, and now it is a thing of beauty Oh, and it is scrollable, so you get more categories by scrolling down.

It would be cool to get the all time records screen looking the same as the leaderboard s reen.

I like 'em. The player pics is a nice touch but I also like seeing all the important stats for that player right there, too.

Fair enough, no doubt they'll grow on me. Just looks like 2 lists side by side now, where the current setup gives you some of the same info, but in a single column to look more like a list. Just semantics anyway, overall look is fantastic.
Will the current style popups still work as they do in 18? Last edited by Bluenoser; 01-26-2018 at 11:13 AM. |

I have to agree with Bluenoser. I like the wall of stats (it is a statistics page) with more information on the page available without scrolling.

So there are actual team stats now? This was always kind of goofy as there was a report that had some, but then you could only sort by division. So when the team screen says "4th in NL in batting", This new "team stats" screen will show me everyone so I can see who's above and below?

I like the new leaderboards much better. They also remind me of the leaderboards on websites like mlb.com and ESPN with the leader's picture there for the stat. Bravo!

do you get to choose how many players you want displayed in each category on the leadership page as well as on the standings page ... How about being able to choose what category you want to show on the standings page as well. Will we finally get tragic number to be included as well ??? we got the magic number and empty space below it to be used for tragic number

Love the new screens. There needs to be an overhaul to the career and season record leaderboard pages. Any chance we see a change here?
Super easy fix is to change font colors for players. Active players bolted. Hall of farmers in blue. Or whatever. It’s too hard to search right now. |

I would be fine with it if the position filters in the individual sortable stats worked the way the leaderboards do. Right now, if I go to the sortable stats and select a position, any player with a rating at that position is included. On the leaderboards page, only players who have actually played the position that year show up.

I don't use the new stats leaderboard screen mainly because it only shows 9 spots on my 1440p screen whereas the old one had 14 on 1080p and more on higher definition screens.
I used to scan the leaderboards frequently in all the older games, but in 19 the sortable stats is the only option. You can please everybody by providing both options. |
