Player Disappeared

Using latest patch. Custom Fictional League.

During the free agency period, i was trying to sign this catcher. He wanted too much money, so I gave up on him. He signed with another team. It is now July and I wanted to check to see how he was doing. I couldn't find him anywhere. I went back the transaction news. I found the line that said who he signed for. I clicked on his link and viewed his HTML page. It said he plays for Minnesota and he played like 10 games. I went to Minnesota's team and couldn't find him. I used the search feature and didn't find him. It is like he vanished from the game.

Did you check for injury? That's where they usually are when I can't find them. Just a suggestion.

Yes I did. That was my first thought too, but he wasn't there. I don't find him when I do a player search on the league setup screen.

oh, sorry, I just realized you answered that in your original post.

I think the only cure is to start a new league, but if it's just one player, and he's not even yours, I don't hardly think it's worth it. The only real suggestion I have is from now on to back your league up frequently. It's definitely a bug, and has existed since the OOTP4 days. Unfortunately, I don't think fixing this bug is one of the priorities for the next patch.

It should be a very high priority. Disappearing players isn't a minor issue.

I totally agree. And I'm sure we're not the only two that share that opinion.

I would like to know if this is being looked at by Markus. I don't feel like playing if players suddenly disappear.
