setting schedule
Scenario: If I create a historical league and a schedule that I manually create, how do I set each game to be manually played out rather than it being played by software?

Also just wondering why if you are playing a historical league you would not use the historical schedule?

Thanks. I am still new and have not played enough to understand all the mechanics. I was merely trying to actively participate in all the games as a manager.
I am not replaying an entire season, that is why I deleted historical schedule. |

You need a schedule for teams to play.

Lets say I create a schedule.
Will the software play the game automatically without my participating actively? Is there a way to keep the software from determining the results without seeing the interactive broadcast? That is my question. |

"Simulate World in Background" Set this to "No". The other games will not be played out. |

did not work
I am sorry to be a pest but I don't seem to get the concepts with this software.
If I set a schedule, I still don't understand how to keep the software from autoplaying the game. I set up several games, and all but a couple of them were played without my participating in the action. This is my desire. HELP PS I am a fairly patient person but it is running thin. |

Bluenoser's solution should be all you need to do. Setting that option to "No" stops all games other than the one you're playing from being played out.

I understand. I still am not comprehending how to change the setting on the scheduled game before it is played.

Go to the Scores & Schedule screen for that day. You should see a list of all the games for that day. Pick whichever game you want and click "Manage" (you'll have to put yourself into Commissioner Mode under Manager Options if you want to play out games from teams you don't control). Once you click Manage, it should take you to the screen where you can review and set each team's lineup. The option to Simulate World in Background is on the left-hand side of the screen, all the way at the bottom (you might have to scroll down, depending on your resolution). Set that to "No", and you should be all set. Once the game ends, rinse and repeat.

Ok this is starting to make sense however another question to raise is how does the calendar work ie how do you know what day is what it always defaults to April?

When you are on teh Edit Schedule screen you can still see what the current date is on the top left.

What is confusing about it? What are you wanting to do?

Unfortunately this game has been confusing to me since the day I bought it. The reason is that to me it seems complex to do simple tasks.
All of the screenshots and advice have been helpful, unfortunately when I try to locate them in the program I never am able to find them. I have not read the manuals so that is my fault. I tried to learn this game without reading any documentation. Someday when I want to take the time to do that I am sure my confusion will go away. |
