Kinda a newbie question

Not new to OOTP but...

So there is an option to build an entire realistic universe with all of the pro-leagues from around the world. I have never done this before. Seems too big... but I was maybe going to try it. What is the point of it all? Do you get Matsui's and Ichiro's types of situations where they defect and jump leagues? Do you see some washed up Americans go and play in independent leagues?

Everybody plays differently, but a lot of people like a full blown real world universe. Realism is key for a lot of users, others it's not. Personal preference really.

My custom universe works like this. Although i dont have the rules the *** has i do have them as part of my universe. I have several washed up MLers on my team. Ozzie Guillen, david Cone, Dan serafini & Sal Fasano. FA's from *** will sign normal contracts with ML teams and teams from the other 3 leagues I have in 2012. MLers in their prime will sometimes go to ***. Piazza and Pujols both went to *** at one point and I made them FA's again.

If you have version 13, you can download this quickstart and import it into 14:

If not, you can download the version 13 demo, load this game into that, then import it into 14.
