Fictional Parks with backgrounds
I have put backgrounds on the fictional park. I mainly used ones for historical parks I already had done. If you have any request for a specific type background for a specific park, let me know. There is no Fictional 13 with background because it is such that you can't outside the park. Labat had one but it didn't show in game. I fixed that. Fictional 3 has a wacked out grid. I tried to fix it but to no avail. The method to align the grid in the game does not work.
I did add photos here for all the parks, just 3 examples. These file are the fictional folder. https://www.mediafire.com/folder/m1q...Ballpark_Files |

Riverfront 2001
Here is Silvam's 2001 Riverfront with the Ohio River and the city in the background. Putting the partially constructed new park as part of the old park was genius. No wonder he was MIA for a while!

I looked at that park in 3D warehouse. I think you did a wee bit more than just downloading it!

Quick question, in the fictional folder I downloaded (w/ backgrounds), are Arsenal and Fictional 16 the only ones so far with backgrounds? The other 3D folder in the zipped file contains the other fictionals, but I assume they are for future work or requests?
Thanks in advance for the answer and, of course, all your fine hard work!

No. When I uploaded them from my file I uploaded the whole folder. I thought it would just put the files in the existing folder but it put the folder itself there. So there where two folders with the same name. Anyway, I fixed it. They are now all in one folder.

Petco Park update
Here is Silvam's update with a background.
It is in the Historical folder. I named in Petco Park S2 in case there was anyone who prefers the previous version. https://www.mediafire.com/folder/m1q...Ballpark_Files |

adion, the filename is too long for me to see in the editor. Can you identify this park for me, please? I 'think' it's fictional, but honestly I'm not sure.

It is fictional 10. I am not sure what you are talking about the file name being too long as you have to go to the file and select it. Also, the name of the file you are looking at in the editor is displayed on the right hand side of editor screen at the top just above 'LOAD NEW 3D MODEL'. It is easy to miss stuff on some of the screens. I have had to have people direct me to other stuff also. I hope this helps.

Oh I know right where the file name is located on the screen. The problem is I have it embedded so it also shows the directories and drives the filename off of my screen.
Thanks so much for the ID!

Here is Silvam's new Fenway with a background. I could not find a 40's background picture for this. So I used a historical one (1969) from Google Earth and took out two of the modern towers.

If you do a search on the net for skies, you can find ones you like and replace the ones ballparks/models/misc/background folder. Just change them to the same size and 300 dpi.

Fenway by eras
Here is my attempt to take Silvam's great three Fenway parks (1940, 1970 & 1988) and put them in eras. 12-47 which is his basic 1940's, 48-53 which is his 1940's with lights. 54-69, 70-87 & 88-10 are his parks with backgrounds & signs sort of updated for the eras. I also change the scoreboards so that they are not all the same. I was not able to determine which scoreboard goes with which eras. I make no claim that these are period accurate. These photos are 48-53, 54-69 & 70-87. I did not include a photo of 12-47 as it is the same as I previously posted for 1940. I will post 88-10 in the next post since I can only post 3 pictures at a time.
I tried to delete this post as the pictures did not get attached but I couldn't find a delete function. Last edited by adion; 09-23-2016 at 09:52 PM. |

Fenway 88-10 revised
I uploaded a revised version of this one because the perspective of the background was not right.

Oh, man. These are great. Is there a way, down the road, where the 3D parks could be thumbnailed somehow to glimpse the overviews in a single or various folders? Or is the process limited to one available only in a forum post to review pics?
