If I could make a suggestion. Could you cut away the dark blue around those buildings in center so that the natural skyline would appear behind the buildings?

Don't want to make you post another pic, but you should hide the the edges and profiles under the view menu

joefromchicago.....
Excellent observations, and I eventually want to do the Chicago Parks too. I was at the old Comisky Park and Wrigley.......I will keep these in mind and the infield.....that can be done. Actually in the sketch up warehouse they have the old infield set ups.......will closely follow the roof patterns......

That's the fun part. (Jk). If only the game would recognize the textures without having to paint it on all of the faces. Would save me 1/4 of the time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's difficult to get reliable information about these sorts of things, and I get the sense that not all parks strictly followed the rules about diamond layouts. The players' lines were necessary when players sat on benches in foul territory, but they became obsolete once teams starting installing dugouts. Nevertheless, you'll still see photos from the 1910s that show players' lines, so I'm not sure when they were finally abandoned. Today, the coaches' boxes are often marked by just two lines - that's a remnant of the era when the line closest to home plate was connected to the players' line. |
