Sacrifice Bunt Stats
Not new but haven't really kept track of this too much in the past but are sacrifice bunts a sortable stat or available to look up? I see sacrifice fly and sacrifice hit but not bunt. Thanks in advance.

Doug, I think sacrifice hit (SH) is pretty much synonymous with sacrifice bunt. Interesting question, though. I have always thought so and never tried to differentiate but are there any situations when a sacrifice hit is NOT a bunt?

SH are awarded by the official scorer. If I'm scoring and the ball bounces off your bat and results in a runner advancing you get no sacrifice from me. So yes it pretty much needs to be a bunt.

Not in the game, I don't think. Going by memory (I'm at work right now), but I believe sacrifice flies are listed as "SF" in the stats. "SH" are sacrifice bunts but "SB" would confuse them with stolen bases, hence "SH" is used.
