Transfer offers for Jr Players?

Why do I have to offer the Ottawa 67's 3,000,000 to sign Sean Monahan? There shouldn't be a cash requirement for signing picks in these leagues.

Also when I sign these players they show their status as UFA when they should be RFA.

If there wash a cash requirement i'm sure over the years we'd see Columbus, Florida, and Tampa bay all select far different players than they have in the past.

2008 draft, Tampa bay is proud to select 1st overall from the Swift Current Broncos, Zack Smith. haha. I guess they'd just trade the picks away but still would be funny.

No I mean its a bug or error in the draft/transfer process in this game specifically. Teams can't negotiate a cash release for their players to the NHL but somehow FHM made me do it lol.

lol yah, i'm just joking around. It's a bug. Although i'm not sure if NHL compensate KHL or European leagues, I don't think they do.

Heh I should've guessed :P

There is compensation with the EU leagues except for the KHL. Its a set price but the KHL wants to be able to negotiate depending on the player, which is why they have yet to come to a firm agreement on it and just a gentleman's handshake for the most part currently.

After playing 1 season w/ Calgary and not signing Sean Monahan, he doesn't show up anywhere in my rights or contracted players... I was hoping to sign him to my roster, but all I can do is a transfer offer... any ideas?
