Import Players file
Under import players it now says you can load a file which will import players from a database and assign them to teams. How do format a file like that? It doesn't seem to work to just try to load the DB.

on import player page, you need to know the player ID and the year you want to import. If he's a minor leaguer, you need to check both the database you are using and the minor league data base. If he's a major leaguer, i'd check both anyway, so if he ever played in minors those numbers swhow up, and if he didn't, the search won't find anything, so no harm in checking it. The example given is 1927 Babe Ruth, which would be ruthba01,1927 (note there IS a space between the comma and 1927)
found this post .... think it might help on how to put a player on a team from the import.. Good Luck. http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...2&postcount=16 link to the full thread is here - the above link might make more sense in context. http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...=import+player
