What does MS and BS mean on the player stat screens?
Very disappointed there is no tool tip for these two despite the rest of the categories having explanations. Nor does the manual have a list of abbreviations. That would be great.
My guess is BS is 'Blocked Shots' however MS is a mystery.

BS = Blocked Shots, MS = Missed Shots
We will make sure to add them in FHM 4, thanks for reporting it!

Thanks!
Just to be clear, BS is a good thing for defending, while MS is a bad thing on offense. And is it all missed shots, that is, both shots that flew into the stands and ones that required a great save by the goalie?

Well, missed shots isn't quite that. Missed shots is a more new statistic that's come along with advanced stats. It's more about shots that were shot at the net but missed. It's not counted as a shot on net, but one of the advanced stats (and I can't recall for the life of me at this moment) which one it is looks at shot generation and quality of opportunities. Just because you didn't hit the net doesn't mean other things didn't happen.

The shots stat is only shots ON goal (resulting in a goal or save by the goalie), BS and MS are not counted here. Hope that helps...
