Yes! I'm on top, and this time it's not because the standings are alphabetical like last season!

Perfect League OL is just so competitive. I know it's early, but the 2-time champion Cottons are at the bottom of a division that contains a couple of lefty teams that they're designed to counter. Although there's kind of a meta that sees similar players and strategies employed, I'm still enjoying it. Happy to keep the Vikings around to defend their record 6 OL titles (think I'm missing one at the Silver Level unfortunately).
The Cowboys are definitely much happier at Diamond though. On Monday I had more than a full page of achievements that would be hard to come by at Perfect. Think I'll have to work the AH and Collections in order to generate the necessary PP to get competitive. |

Salem Flys to Top in OL S330
The Witches went on an 8-4 run to move into first, while Chi-Town stood tall, going 5-1 to take over second. Only Terra Incognita, at 13-10, played to fairly positive mark among the chasers.

Janesville Continues Red Hot Start, Stays Atop Diamond
The Janesville Onyx have played few OL games, but they've made the most of them, riding a 9-1 start over two months to take command of the Diamond standings. |

Next year (that is, next version of OOTP), I think I'm going to switch to running just one team. I'm just not as smart as all of you folks...

Salem Doubles Up, Still Bewitches OL S330
The Witches played as many games in yesterday's sim as they had since the start, and posted the same impressive 13-7 record to continue to lead the way in OL S330. New Zealand matched that output to grab the second spot, while Steelport, 6-3, Antique, 6-4, and Redmond, 9-7, put forth solid efforts.

Janesville's Continued Strong Play Keeps Them Atop Diamond OL
Janesville kept their excellent season going in June, sporting a 9-5 OL record to stay on top of the Diamond standings. But Green Lake and Pablo have emerged as contenders, both right on the Onyx's tail. |

My God, the Vikings just played a 23 inning game. My rotation is totally ruined as the AI started using all of my SP in relief despite my not having that option on. I'd rather a position player pitch than have my rotation messed up for the forseeable future.
We made a defensive substitution in the 22nd inning, haha. Didn't help as they tied it up and it took another inning to win. How do I get the AI to throw in a position player or pitch an RP for 10 innings? Anything besides using my SPs. EDIT: lol @ George Brett in the story below. "It was his only hit in 10 at-bats.." That's surprising that no position players pitched.

Bulldogs Take Over in OL S330
Antique racked up a 9-5 month to grab the lead in the chase for the crown. Salem hit some turbulence, slumping to 8-10, and slipped to second. Meanwhile, Chi-Town, 5-2, and Southside, 8-6, posted solid numbers.

A little Iron league update. My new Jefferson Valley team is cruising playing .700 ball hopefully they win a playoff series so they can join in on the OL action next week. The team is coming together-it's almost like having a second week of entry week play. JV is an all NY based theme which I almost abandoned based on my Boogie Knights difficulty. I realize the difference is the Knights are pigeon holed to a decade where JV is not so I am rolling with it.

Cowboys Rustle Up Lead in Diamond OL
The Green Lake Cowboys hung tough as the rest of the pack faltered, and their steady play gained them the lead in Diamond OL play. Pablo and Janesville are right on their heels though, so the crown is still very much in play. |

The Sanguine Classics have been re-christened to the 3-10-2 Yuma ball club. Abbreviation is 310. This is in preparation for a sabbatical from OL beginning next season. They will be taking the train to the Wild West at 3:10 AM Monday morning.

This week has only confirmed my feeling that the PT game engine just does what it does, without much relationship to the specifics of what we do.
The Hatchets continue their slide to Diamond this week, despite my best efforts to coax them to victory. Meanwhile, the Truckers, having been exiled to non-OL Perfect land have thrived, despite the same less-than-perfect lineup that barely avoided relegation the past two seasons. The Truckers continue to get better, all despite *no* intervention from me this week...or perhaps *because* no intervention? Who knows.
