ACC-Big T1e4n Challenge
Starts tonight. Three huge matchups this year.
Today Miami @ Illinois - Miami has struggled vs decent teams. Illinois has barely played any decent teams. Illinois Clemson @ Minnesota - Two very mediocre squads. I think the Gophers are better prepared for an even matchup Minnesota Tomorrow NWstern @ BC - Wildcats lost at home to Merrimac & Radford BC Iowa @ Cuse - Orange look to be on a downward trend. Iowa #4 Michigan @ #1 L'Ville - Wolverines went from unranked to 4th. Cards have yet to be tested. Michigan #17 FSU @ Indiana - After a surprise opening loss @ Pitt, FSU has beaten Florida, Purdue & Tennessee. Leonard Hamilton might be the most underrated coach in the sport. Indiana has had cupcakes for appetizers. FSU Rutgers @ Pitt - This could get pretty competitive. I'll go with the home team. Pitt #10 dook @ #11 Mich St - I don't think dook is ready for an intense away game on a rowdy campus. Mich St Wed #5 UVa @ Purdue - Cavaliers lull another team to sleep. Virginia Nebraska @ GaTech - Success for the Huskers will be avoiding last place in the conference. GaTech Notre Dame @ #3 Maryland - Terps are looking to reclaim former glory. Maryland Wake @ Penn St Danny Manning continues the struggle to bring the Deacs back to relevance. Penn St Wisky @ NCState There's a revenge factor here for the Pack after last season's controversial game. NCSt #6 OSU @ #7 UNC This might be the worse shooting UNC team I've ever seen. OSU Final: Big T1e4n 8, ACC 6

Where's Virginia Tech or did the ACC kick them out of the league in basketball?

There's only 14 in the T1e4n & 15 in the ACC. So someone has to be left out each season.

Pleasantly surprised at how well IU played against FSU. If IU could get Rob Phinisee back on the court, I think they could be a pretty good team.

I think Syracuse will struggle to qualify for the NIT. Might be time for that grouch Boeheim to call it a career before it gets too unsightly.

T1e4n currently leads 6-5. Virginia was absolutely embarrassed by Purdue. That was a "run stairs till you puke" performance.
So far, none of these games have been competitive. Miami was blowing Illinois out until the Illini came back and loss by 2. Every other game has seen a double digit margin of victory.

I correctly picked the T1e4n to win it 8-6. I also went 8-6 picking winners. Only missed on UVa tonight. When the Cavs & Heels play this Sunday, I put the over under on total combined pts @ 60.

On the women's side, the B1G won 9-5, the first time they've ever bested the ACC

Have we all forgotten Dean Smith and his 'Four Corners' stall tactics?
http://archive.nytimes.com/www.nytim...ingemar&st=cse He is the reason the NCAA put in a shot clock. Question: Who is the only man who held Michael Jordan to under 20 ppg? Answer: Dean Smith
