New Commish needs advice

Hey guys, I am trying to start up a league and am currently in the planning phases. I have a few questions and I would *really* appreciate some advice:
1) I am using geocities to host the league for now, can anyone reccomend a good FTP program to use? I keep having big problems with the program saying the host has run out of space(it hasnt only 2MB of 15 so far). I am using a mac right now cause it is connected to a cable modem. So,In short what programs, do you guys use? advice on mac and pc much appreciated.
2) has anyone experienced the geocities problem I just mentioned?
3) Have also had problems with geocites not getting my pics on the page. anyone experienced this too?
4) any general tips on getting the league started? owner selection process and all that.

1. FTP site: we use Tripod. Haven't had any problems.

2. Had problems with Geocities not being able to access it with Microsoft Explorer. Had to download Netscape just for Geocities.

3. Owner selection: no way perfected that I know of. Good luck.

The best way to advertise a.k.a. getting GM's is just go to all the main ootp sites and say what you gotta say about your league to get people to know about it...Not much I can say about geocities except that I would check out angelfire they give you 50mb of web space. Also go to yahoo.com enter in WS FTP Pro, works the best for me, but it has a 30 day trial after its up you have to D/L it again. If you have any Q's my email is xCaLiKrAzYx@aol.com
