Auction house weirdness

I've notice more than several gold cards for minimum of 1000. But the weird part is they have just one bid already. Are there that that many people selling gold cards for less than 1000? I get it, people don't realize the cut the house gets but listing a card for less. Exactly 1 less than the sell back price. My thinking is someone lists it for 999 but has another account do a max bid off 1100. That way they get you committed to a bid and have no chance of taking a loss.

You can not offer gold cards for less than 1,000 PP. Those cards were offered for exactly the minimum and someone bid any price. No matter what the single bid is, you will still see the initial minimum bid and not the actual bid.

And if they sell for 1000, the seller lost 100 PP by not quick selling it.

But the buyer can still quick sell it at cost, so there is no risk or penalty for the purchase

The ones I'm having a hard time understanding are the clowns trying to sell cards at starting prices significantly higher than average prices. In some cases higher than the highest ever price. I may be wrong, but I don't think it's a bull market right now.
