P408 Season 16

Hi everyone,

My Base Thieves team played in Orcin's points-based league the last few seasons so it will be fun to be back in a random league.

Good luck everyone....

Last I checked I was still in first place and took a second series against the very good Waverunners but I also had 3 games with blown saves and 1-run losses. So this month will be closer but hopefully still have a 3-5 game lead by the time I come back.

Darmstadt Howlers (they were in the league for a while) are in the AC West with a good strong opponent and so far they are holding their own.

I have a huge series tonight agains Asaintfan , He is 33-9 and I am 33-11. We play 3 at his house. I wanted to test this team so now is the time.

Good luck. I remember playing him before. He has a good team and I can only imagine that it got better.

I am busy with real baseball activities (little league) so may need to run PT without my attendance for an entire day.
More practice tomorrow so I really hope the wheels won’t fall off.

The server outage really hurt my Base Stealers in the other league. I lost almost every game because nothing was set and the team was all messed up. Fortunately, we started to climb back today. Hopefully by the time I can check tomorrow we will be back in a more respectable position.
Not too worried about the Base Thieves. The league is not too strong. When Chandler is on a path for 7-8 WAR, I know I have plenty of beatable opponents. Sadly he pitched a one hit 9 inning game with no walks. So close to a perfect game.

How is your team doing? Next week I will be unavailable also until Wednesday. Starting this Sunday, I have something to do every day until Wednesday. So if we we end up in the same league next week and I don’t text early that is why...😁

I am still in first place in the division but the division has an over-achiever and Waverunners that are currently a bit behind. I still believe they will turn things around (only Perfect Pedro in the league is on their team).

The 2nd place team in the league is doing extremely well.
A 57 point team on the scale.

Ballpark has all stats dialed back a bit (around .970) while 2B and3B are set at 1.00. Very impressed with the team and the results.
They would have done well in Orcin.

still in the playoffs....looks like this could be a long night.

Bergen Trolls were a 120 win team. They lost to a 87 win team and then that team lost to a good U-City Bouncers team (9 perfect cards).

thank you....I thought I was pulling ahead once I got two wins in a row but we are back tied at 2-2.
One more game at this place before it goes back to my ballpark.

Just pulled out one more win....series is 3-2. So now I have two chances to win it all at home.

He has some amazing hitters....Perfect Gehrig, Bonds, Ted Williams, and DiMaggio plus the usual Cobb, Boggs, Betts, and Trout players.

My biggest surprise this year...92 Griffey is my HR leader on the team with 20 fewer games than Bonds.

I really enjoyed platoon pairing him with the 97 Rookie Trout and using Trout for defensive purposes (91 defense) against RHPs in late games.

Overall, after several years of mediocre performance, I gave up on the 100 Boggs and went back to 97 Robinson (.337 OBP).
Not ideal but I just could not get any decent 3B performances.

On the other hand, the 95 Gagne has been a great closer. He was a great investment.
